What kind of park is it?

Atlaspuisto Park, located on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi in Pyynikki, is one of Tampere's most popular places to spend time, especially in summer. Next to the park are the Rosendahl and Pyynikki beaches and the Pyynikki Summer Theatre. Atlaspuisto stretches for about a kilometre from the Pyynikki Summer Theatre to the Pyynikki waterfront. The park has dense deciduous areas, open lawn area for lounging and low rocky outcrops.

In addition to swimming facilities, the park has playgrounds, various playing fields, a fountain, a kiosk and a toilet open during the summer. During the summer, SUP boats can be hired from the Pyynikki beach (SUPpaa Tampere).
