What kind of park is it?
The centre of the park is Lake Ahvenisjärvi, which covers an area of 3 hectares and has a maximum depth of about 15 metres. A lakeside path runs around the lake and there is an event pier on the north shore. To the west of the lake is the Lake Ahvenisjärvi Sports Park with its playing fields, and to the south of the lake is the dog park. The park also has a playground and an outdoor gym. Many events are held in the park every year.
Plantations and trees
Terijoki willows grow on the west bank of the lake. The shores of Lake Ahvenisjärvi are planted with, for example, coralcane, broad-leaved celandine, Siberian chickweed and rhododendrons.
