There is no need to apply or register for open family clubs for parents and children. The activities are free of charge. The clubs start at the beginning of September and are closed during preschool holidays.
Early childhood education and pre-primary education opening hours and holidays
Family clubs will close for summer vacation at the end of May.
Information about the fall club offerings will be available at each location in April.
Notice on the operating hours of the City of Tampere's open early childhood education and care from 1.9.2026
The City of Tampere offers open early childhood education and care services in different parts of the city so that families can find a suitable, open and welcoming environment where they can play, learn and meet others.
Family club activities will continue from 1 September 2026 in Linnainmaa, Henneir, Huusholli and Tesoma.
Club for 2-5 year olds
Family club programmes include puppet shows, poetry and picture shows, and musical performances.
Programmes are posted on the club's notice board, instagarm and facebook.
The visual arts studio is open throughout the family club.
Huusholli offers open early childhood education with a focus on music and the arts. We also organise various events using music and drama. Our open doors always include a music and arts programme.

Open House:
On Tuesdays and Thursdays during the spring season from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Huusholli hosts a club for young children. Children aged 2 and older who are in home care could apply for a spot in the club via e-vaka.
You’re welcome to come by during our opening hours to play, do arts and crafts, and meet new people!
Please register for music classes via the online form; this helps us ensure the classes don’t get too crowded.

The activities of the open family clubs and the meeting place include spending relaxed time together, with the option to participate in guided activities to varying degrees. You may attend our activities according to your own schedules. The activity is free of charge.
Open early childhood education and care will observe school holiday periods.
