Haihara Awakens event on Saturday 24 May

Haihara Awakens! is a new summer kick-off event for all ages, held at the Haihara Art Centre area. The event celebrates the arrival of summer, culture, the awakening of nature, and the 60th anniversary of Tampere’s oldest suburb, Kaukajärvi.
Kolmen kuvan sarja, joista ensimmäisessä nainen seisoo viulu olallaan rantakivikossa, keskimmäisessä on musta-asuinen kolmihenkinen yhtye, ja viimeisessä on mies kahden jalkapallon kanssa.

The outdoor event program includes activities such as communal planting in the herb garden, decorating seedling boxes, a perennial plant exchange market, hammock relaxation and nature meditation, exhibitions of winter art workshops’ creations, a driving simulator for youth, face painting and Polaroid photography, street food and pancakes, information stands from various organizations, alpacas, and performances.

During the day, the program features Circus Simon’s wordless, family-friendly We are the Champions circus performance and a football workshop. The day will culminate in concerts by Päivi Hirvonen and Minä ja Nieminen in Valjasvaja, where visitors can enjoy refreshments from the café.

Exhibitions, Runebers's Cabin and Kahvikamari are open during the event from 1 pm to 6 pm. See the Tampere Event Calendar for further information.
