Future Day focuses on AI

Culture Highlight #10: Join us in exploring and reflecting on the future of Tampere and the civic skills needed in the AI era—activate your power of the future! The event, featuring talks, workshops, discussions, and a collaborative community artwork, will take place on Friday, 7 March at the Main Library Metso.

A Future Gallery will be on display, showcasing thoughts on AI from residents of different ages, collected as part of the AI4Citizens project. Event participants will have the chance to contribute to this growing and evolving exhibition throughout the day and evening.

The event will also feature community artist Tuomas Tirkkonen, who will capture the atmosphere and insights of the day in poetry.

The event is organized by the EU-funded AI4Citizens project, Tampere Community and Development Services, and Tampere City Library. AI4Citizens is part of the Smart City for Citizens development program, aiming to foster open dialogue about AI with residents. The project is currently developing AI governance and management models, emphasizing shared rules and a collective understanding of how AI is developed and used.
