On this page you will find the Tampere swimming beaches. The water temperature is measured on weekdays during the summer on beaches that are supervised by personnel. Measurings for the summer 2012 have ended.

Swimming beaches

The swimming beaches are maintained by the Tampere Infra Maintenance Services. Please contact the Frenckell Service Point if you want to give feedback on the issue of maintenance of the swimming beaches:

Control of water quality

In Tampere there are public beaches whose water is observed regularly during the swimming season.

Regional Environment Centres monitor the amount of algae

The Pirkanmaa Regional Environment Centre monitors the amount of algae, for instance, in lake Pyhäjärvi by the lakeshores of Pyynikki swimming beach and the Härmälä camping site, and in lake Näsijärvi by the lakeshores of the Rauhaniemi and Eliander swimming beaches. Lake Kaukajärvi’s rowing and canoe stadium and the western beach by Lake Tohloppi are also monitored.
