Social work at the social welfare offices

It is advisable to contact a social worker at the social welfare offices when

  • the family faces difficulties with providing care and education for either children or adolescents
  • the abuse of intoxicants affects one's own life and/or that of close persons
  • the family has financial difficulties
  • you are facing other crises in your life
  • you need advice and guidance concerning social security or services.

In addition to basic social work, other services include: intoxicant abuse prevention and treatment, children's placing-out along with issues relating to fatherhood acknowledgement and child guardianship.

There are two kinds of social welfare offices: ones for families with children, and one for adults.
