Children's Cultural Centre Rulla

Rulla – children’s own art place

The former textile factory hall has been transformed into a colourful children's cultural centre where ideas are spun and life and culture roll!

Rulla is an art exhibition space for children where the kids are allowed to create their own artwork. Rulla has the Shining Dragon and Paula Maunu's theatre puppets as well as the children's own works on permanent display. The amazing creatures of an underwater world await babies and toddlers.

The centre has varying exhibitions and events that present different art forms in a versatile way without forgetting the participation of the children themselves. The children can experience the joy of creating things in ongoing open workshops.

The Woodsy Tree grows in the Children’s Cultural Centre Rulla awaiting new inhabitants to come build their nests on its branches. Come and make your own character and tell its story!

Art belongs to us all

People in wheelchair and people with prams, buggies or strollers are all welcome to Rulla: Rulla's entrance and facilities are unobstructed. The exhibitions are constructed so that people can enjoy them with as many senses as possible, which is a principle all of our visitors appreciate.

Come by as a group

Rulla is a popular destination among day care centres and schools. Our knowledgeable counsellors are there to introduce the groups to art and art production.

The schedule of our activity tours can be tailored according to the wishes of the group. We kindly request the groups to reserve a time for their visit beforehand.
