Great Britain Team Leader/Couch John Morris was very happy men today, two of his team girl competitors won. Jazzamay Drew won Finnish Ella Leivo 7-6(2), 2-6, 6-0. The game took over two hours and it was really a fight. Ella Leivo was very disappointed with her game and she said that she maid too many mistakes. Morris is assuming that the team will won at least one medal.
In other girls game Morven McCulloh won her match against Finnish player Julianna Heino 7-6, 6-3. McCulloh says that Heinos game tactic is very aggressive, she praises her as a good player. McCulloh didn´t expect to win, she says that she did her best and that was obviously enough. McCulloh continues her game to the third round. This is McCullohs first time in Finland and she says that she´s enjoying her time in here. Great Britain has four tennisplayers in the youth Olympig games. The team is happy with the accommodation facilities. Team leader Morris says that it would be nice that all the competition venues would be closer, it would be easier then to follow other sports.
On tennis boys singles third round and quarterfinals were played today. Also boys doubles were played today, Italy won Belarus 6-2, 6-1 and Denmark won Belgium 6-4, 7-6(3). Great Britain won Portugal 6-3, 6-7(3), 10-4. The game between Greece and Czech Republic was postponed untill thursday.
Also on girls side third round and quarter finals were played on singles and quarter finals on doubles. Doubleresults: Switzerland won Czech Republic 7-5, 2-6, 10-4, Serbia won Turkey 3-6, 6-3, 10-4, Belarus won Poland 4-6, 7-5, 10-5 and Belgium won Portugal 6-2, 6-0.
Italy is heading to finals at girl tennis, Silvia Albano is ready to win
Silvia Albano from Italy is very satisfied for her playing at the EYOF games in Tampere. At tuesday Silvia won her match against Turkeys Seda Arantak 6-1, 6-0 at girls second round. Today at third round the contestant was Tina Rupert from Slovakia. The game ended 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-4 as Silvias benefit. Silvia is playing a quaterfinal match with Belgium´s An-Sophie Mestachia today. After that we know how close Silvias dreams of medal are.
Teamfriend Lorenza Stefanelli had to end her games after second round, when she lost her match for Malin Ulvefeldille from Sweden 3-6, 6-7(6).
Playing double is a good practice for playing single
Silvia Albano and Lorenza Stefanelli are also a team on doubletennis. Girls have played together as team before, but it was many years ago. Team Albano-Stefanella unfortunately lost their doublegame against Switzerland´s team Bianco-Rey 3-6, 3-6. Italy´s team technician says that the double match is very good practise for single games. Even the loss doesn´t feel that bad at double game.
Silvia Albano have played tennis for 9 years, she is 14- years old. The fact that she won matches on the first and second round wasn´t really a surprise for her. She thinks that she is ready to win a medal, even a gold one. Italy´s team technician promises to take girls out to town, if they do well at the games. Before that rest of the time beside the maches team must practise. Silvia says that best way to prepare for a match is listen to a music, it doesn´t matter what kind of.
Tennis has a new winner either from Sweden or Belgium on girl tennis
On boys single games Adam Pavlasek from Czech Republic and Julien Gagnina from Belgium are playing for gold. Goldgame for girl single will be playd by An- Sophie Mestach from Belgium and Malin Ulvefeldt from Sweden.
Double game teams on boys are Czech Republic Jaloviec-Pavlasek and Italy Palma-Perinti. Girl Couble team are: Belarus Chernetsova-Kremen and Belgium Lemmens- Mestach.

An-Sophie Mestach from Belgium was a double champion An-Sophie Mestach from Belgium was a very happy girl today because she won two gold medals. First on morning she played a single match with Malin Ulvefeld from Sweden and won her 6-3, 6-1. After a little rest she played with her teamfriend Elke Lemmens against Belarus team Darya Chernetsova and Ilona Kremen and again won, the result was 6-4, 6-4. I reached An-Sophie after her match and she was very glad about her success. “I was expecting that I could play all right today, but the win was a big surprise”, An-Sophie says. She highlights the winning in the single match more than winning in the double match. She thought that she could win the gold also at double match. “These medals are very important for me and my future career, especially because they are Olympic medals”, An-Sophie says. She is going to celebrate the medals tonight after the closing party. There was also other doublechampions at girls tennis tonight. Ilona Kremen from Belarus got silver medal at double game and also a bronze medal at single game. The single match result was 6-3, 6-2, it was against Alena Poletinova from Czech Republic. At girls double match there were playing Megane Bianco and Gaelle Rey from Switzerland and Elizabeta Bauer and Natalija Kostic from Serbia, result 6-3, 6-2. A double medalist also at boys Adam Pavlasek from Czech Republic won gold at boys single match. The silver medal goes to Julien Gagnina from Belgium. The game ended 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 for Czech Republic. At bronze match there were playing Marek Jaloviec from Czech Republic and Christian Perinti from Italy. Italy won with the result 6-1, 6-3. Christian Perinti from Italy got also medal from double match, the colour was gold this time. They played against Marek Jaloviec and Adam Pavlasek from Czech Republic, result was 7-5, 3-6, 10-8. Bronze at boys double game won Hans L. Stentoft and Mikael Torpegaard from Denmark. Jonathan Cornishin and Joshua Ward-Hibbertin from Great-Britainn were fourth.
