Indoor sports facilities

There are sufficient indoor sports facilities in Tampere to meet almost every need. High-level league matches in both volleyball and basketball are played in the largest indoor arenas. League matches are played in the ice hockey stadiums weekly, while the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre is available to athletes whenever it is not used for fairs. Nääshalli sports hall has facilities for boxing, weight lifting, various budo sports, table tennis, fencing and other indoor exercise.

Book facilities for events and competitions

The City’s sports facilities are available for all residents to use. However, bookings for pitches and indoor sports facilities are primarily allocated to clubs. Recreational groups can submit an application for bookings for their training and competitions.
