Maternity and child welfare clinics
The maternity clinics monitor the progress of pregnancy, the health of the mother and the unborn baby. They also support the mothers during pregnancy and after birth. After the birth this work is continued at the child welfare clinic. The child welfare clinics provide services for children under school age and their families.

The family planning clinic gives birth control advice and helps Tampere residents over 22 years of age with contraception problems.
The youth clinic gives birth control advice to Tampere residents under 22 years of age.

The adult health care is responsible for giving health guidance to adults in their own local areas. The public health nurses working at the health centres help you in all matters relating to health and medical care.

The family counselling centre helps with issues related to a child’s growth (children under 13 years old) and development.
