Changes to opening hours and timetables for the festive period
Christmas and New Year cause changes to the opening hours of the City of Tampere health services, libraries, museums, swimming pools, as well as offices and customer service points. In addition to these, there are some exceptions in the public transport timetables.
Independence Day celebration at Frenckell square culminates in fireworks
Waltteri Torikka and Diandra are the stars of the Finnish Independence Day Celebration festivities in Tampere. The celebration takes place at the Frenckell square Friday 6 December from 5 pm to 5.30 pm.
City of Tampere invests in systematic work towards equality – “We want to become the capital of equality”
The City of Tampere will implement a number of actions that promote equality under the “Tampere. Equally yours” theme. The first actions to be published promote the equality of children and young people, as well as the equality of event activities. Equality has also been chosen as the leading theme in the City’s application for the European Capital of Culture.
