Museum exhibitions opening on 2 June

The museums of the City of Tampere that have been closed due to the coronavirus situation are re-opening in June.

Vapriikki, Museum Milavida and the Amuri Museum of Workers’ Housing are open again from 2 June onwards according to normal opening hours: Vapriikki and Amuri Tue–Sun from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Milavida Tue–Sun from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The exhibition titled “Ostia – Gateway to Rome" continues until January 2021 in Vapriikki.

Tampere Art Museum is opening on 2 June. Between 2 June and 9 August 2020, the museum presents Joseph Alanen’s exhibition “Jugend • Kalevala • Tampere" and Ilkka Väätti’s exhibition “Hommage". Museum’s normal opening hours: Tue–Thu from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fri–Sun from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Moomin Museum will re-open on 2 June. In addition to the standard exhibition titled “What Happens Next?", the museum has an exhibition titled “Moomins and the Sea" in the Observatory until 31 January 2021. Museum’s exceptional opening hours: Tue–Sun from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The atelier is closed.

The Sara Hildén Art Museum is re-opening on 1 June at 11 a.m. The exhibition “Still Still Life" continues until 23 August. The museum’s summer opening hours: open every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Culture House Laikku, the operations of the Hiedanranta manor house and the Haihara Art Centre are open in a controlled manner from 2 June onwards. Laikku is open Tue–Sun from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Due to a renovation, the operations of Rulla are being moved to Laikku for the summer. The exhibitions of Haihara and Hiedanranta are opening in July.
