The City of Tampere is organizing guided city bike tours for new citizens of Tampere, and a bike school for adults not knowing how to ride a bike, but would like to learn.

Own bicycle isn't necessary. You can borrow one for free! Participating in the events is free of charge.

The tours offer the participants a chance to get to know history and culture of Tampere, as local knowledge is an important part of social integration and sense of community. The tours are lead by a guide and they will be held in simple Finnish. The tours are suited for anyone who can ride a bike.

We organize bike schools for adults every summer. You don't need any previous experience of how to ride a bike. There will be separate groups for men and women.
You do not need to have your own bike, you can borrow one for free for the bike school. Tell us your height so we can offer you a correct size bicycle.
The bike school aims to give the participants the basic skills and knowledge to be able to practice cycling independently.
