Tampere is Finland's most attractive city. According to preliminary data from Statistics Finland in April 2023, there are now 250,353 inhabitants living in Tampere. In 2022, the city grew by a record-breaking 4,786 inhabitants. Net immigration to Tampere has been on the increase.

Summer season begins at the public transport service

The new schedule period begins at the public transport service from 5.6.2023. Timetables of the Nysse buses and trams will be changed to meet the demand of summer season. School buses will be on summer break. Read more on the Nysse website.

Tampere co-hosted the men's 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship with Riga from 12-28 May 2023. The World Championship was won by Canada - congratulations!
