The swimming season at the Tampere outdoor swimming pool has started and will continue until 24.9.2023. In addition to swimming, the outdoor swimming pool offers swimming schools for children and pay per visit water exercise groups. Throughout the summer, the City Sports Services organizes a wide range of free low-threshold exercise and guided sports activities for all ages around the city.

Tampere co-hosted the men's 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship with Riga from 12-28 May 2023. The World Championship was won by Canada - congratulations!
