Library guidance

Opastusta tabletin käyttöön.

The library staff will be happy to help with using the library services and with technological problems. We also provide guidance by appointment. This way, we can ensure that you can get guidance from an expert who has had sufficient time to look into the matter pertaining to the service or problem.

At the Main Library Metso, you can schedule personal guidance to help you with searches, using electronic materials or the hobby room equipment, for example.

Groups are also welcome at the libraries.

Support with digital services at all libraries

You can ask for help with technological problems at all our libraries. If you would like to have a longer personal guidance session, please make a booking for digital guidance. Guidance is available in the libraries of Hervanta, Lielahti and Sampola and the Main Library Metso. You can book a guidance session by phone. At the Main Library Metso, you can book a guidance session using a separate booking form (see below).

Main Library Metso guidance

At the Main Library Metso, you can make a booking for personal guidance related to the library’s services free of charge (see guidance descriptions below). Normally, guidance is available from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Digital guidance is available on Wednesdays between 12 noon and 3 p.m. and on Fridays between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Note! In the summer, guidance is not available as often as normally, and you may need to wait up to a month for certain types of guidance.

Use the electronic form to schedule a one-hour guidance session. We will confirm the time by phone or email as soon as possible, usually within three days of receiving the booking. For some matters, guidance can be provided over the phone or by email. In the additional information section of the form, you can describe in more detail the topic with which you would like to have help.
