Easter memo

Easter brings changes to public transport timetables and opening hours of city services from Maundy Thursday 17 April to Easter Monday 21 April 2025.

Public transport

Tampere Regional Transport Nysse operates with Sunday timetables on Friday 18 April, Sunday 20 April and Monday 21 April.

Check the timetables on the Nysse website.

City of Tampere services

Official services, such as Tampere Service Point and Nysse customer service at Frenckell, are closed from Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April.

City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services telephone service and offices will close at 15:00 on Maundy Thursday 17 April.

Libraries

• Libraries will close at 17:00 on Maundy Thursday 17 April (or at the normal time if earlier). Library vans will stop running at 16:00.
• On Good Friday 18 April, libraries will be closed except for the self-service libraries.
• On Saturday 19 April, libraries will be open according to normal opening hours.
• On Sunday 20 April and Monday 21 April, libraries are closed except for the self-service libraries.

Self-service libraries will also have normal opening hours on public holidays. During the opening hours, the library doors are opened with a library card and its identification number. The library is not staffed, but you can use the library's services on a self-service basis.

Please check your library's opening hours on the library's own website to find out what the closing times are.

Culture and museums

• Culture House Laikku and Children's Cultural Centre Rulla are closed 18 April and 21 April.
• On Maundy Thursday 17 April all museums will close exceptionally at 16:00.
• On Good Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April, all museums will be closed.
• Museum Milavida is closed till 26 April for exhibition changeover.

Sports and exercise facilities

All outdoor sports and exercise facilities are closed from 18 April to 21 April except Kauppi Sports Park.

Indoor sports facilities, such as Tampere Stadium, Kaukajärvi Leisure Centre and Nääshalli, will be closed on Maundy Thursday 17 April at 15.00. They will be closed on Friday 18 April, Sunday 20 April and Monday 21 April. On Saturday 19 April, the facilities will be open according to normal opening hours.

The gyms of the City of Tampere are located in connection with swimming pools or sports halls and are open during their opening hours.

The Sports Services Customer Service will be closed on Maundy Thursday 17 April at 14.30 and will be closed from 18 April to 21 April.

Swimming pools

• All swimming halls are open normally on Maundy Thursday 17 April, Saturday 19 April and Sunday 20 April. Hervanta Swimming Pool will open exceptionally 10:00 on Saturday 19 April.
• The Tampere Swimming Centre is also open on Good Friday 18 April and Monday 21 April 10:00 - 18:00, other swimming pools are closed.

The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa is responsible of the social and health services.
