The Hatanpää vaccination point will move to the C building of Hatanpää Hospital as of 1 August

As of Monday 1 August, next week, coronavirus vaccination will move from the premises of the Hatanpää Laboratory to the vaccination unit in the C building of Hatanpää Hospital. Hatanpää’s walk-in line will continue operations on weekdays, and more bookable vaccination appointments have been opened as well.

Hatanpää’s vaccinations by appointment and the walk-in line without an appointment will move to the same space, where vaccinations were also given in the spring (Hatanpäänkatu 24, C building). The opening hours of the vaccination unit’s walk-in line will remain the same:

  • Mon 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
  • Tue and Wed 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Thurs and Fri 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

In addition to the vaccination unit, health centres will also continue vaccinating by appointment. We recommend that you primarily book your appointments online at If you cannot use the online booking system, please call 03 5657 0023 (from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.). Residents of Orivesi may also book an appointment by calling the health centre appointment number: 03 5657 5777, Mon–Fri from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

At the moment, the fourth coronavirus vaccine is available to everyone in Tampere aged 70 and older, as well as persons aged 12 years and older who are immunocompromised. Persons who have had COVID-19 and three vaccines do not need a fourth vaccine, as having had the disease is equivalent to one vaccine. The gap in time between the vaccine and coronavirus infection must be at least six weeks for the infection to be considered equivalent to one vaccine.

A fifth vaccine is also recommended for persons aged 12 and older who are immunocompromised, 4–6 months after the fourth vaccine. The fourth vaccination will be expanded in August to include persons in risk groups aged 18 and older, and then to include everyone aged 60 and older.
