Majority of the health centres stay open throughout the summer

During the summer, Lielahti and Kaukajärvi health centres are closed from 24 June to 31 July 2022. Kämmenniemi Health Centre is closed from 4 July to 31 July 2022. The other health centres in the City of Tampere, including the Orivesi health centre and outsourced health centres, are open for the whole summer.

From 27 June to 31 July 2022, health centres will primarily treat patients in need of urgent care. During this time, you will also be unable to use the online contact form meant for non-urgent cases. It is recommended to renew prescriptions as soon as possible. The easiest way to renew prescriptions is through the Omakanta digital service (My Kanta Pages).

Clients of Lielahti, Kaukajärvi and Kämmenniemi health centres can contact Hervanta, Tipotie and Linnainmaa health centres in urgent cases when their own health centres are closed. Any calls made to these closed health centres are forwarded automatically to the closest open health centre.

On the day before Midsummer’s Eve on 23 June 2022, health centres close already at 3 p.m. During Midsummer’s Eve on 24 June 2022, all the health centres, including the Hatanpää Emergency Clinic, are closed.

The digital service Omaolo is available 24/7 for treatment assessment

The Omaolo digital service is used at every health centre. You can use the service at any time to assess your need for treatment: the service tells you whether you need to seek professional help or if self-care instructions are sufficient in your particular situation.

In urgent cases, you can call the health centre or visit the health centre’s service point in person.

In the evenings, weekends and at night when your health centre is closed, you can receive urgent help by contacting Pirkanmaa Medical Helpline on 116117. We recommend calling the free-of-charge 116 117 helpline whenever you believe you might need urgent care or a visit to an emergency clinic. The Medical Helpline gives treatment instructions and guides the caller to the correct location for medical care. The Medical Helpline is open 24/7 every day of the year. In case of an emergency, always dial the emergency number 112.

Contact health care counselling service on 03 5657 0023 to receive general instructions in non-urgent cases. The service is open every day, including the summer months, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. For general-level advice, you can also contact the health care counselling service via the online chat.
