Library reading rooms and workspaces reopened for customers
The libraries' reading rooms, workspaces and leisure facilities are open for customers. Also, the use of the customer computers has been returned to normal. In order to guarantee the safety of services and to ensure safe distances, fewer customers are allowed in the reading rooms, workspaces and leisure facilities.

A new PIKI online library has been opened on an experimental basis
The updated PIKI online library, which is part of Pirkanmaa's public library network, has been opened on an experimental basis. Customers can use the PIKI service at piki.finna.fi.

Library workspaces and computers can be reserved from 24 May onwards
The libraries’ reservable workspaces, computers and other devices can be booked again by customers from 24 May 2021 onwards. The usage time of customer computers is also increased to one hour. In order to guarantee the safety of services and to ensure safe distances, fewer customers will be allowed in the reservable workspaces at the same time compared to usual.

Collection areas and newspaper reading rooms reopened on the 10th of May
Tampere City Library will apply the new recommendations given by the regional COVID-19 steering group. Collection areas will be reopened again to customers on the 10th of May and customers can borrow items normally from the shelf. Also, the newspaper reading rooms will be reopened for short visits. Other restrictions on services remain unchanged.

Tampere City Library will apply the new recommendations given by the regional COVID-19 steering group. The collection areas are opened again to customers on the 14th of January. Customers can now borrow items normally from the shelf. Other restrictions on services remain unchanged.

Libraries to open on 1 June
The branches of the Tampere City Library will open on 1 June, with the exception of Koukkuniemi Library. Self-service opening hours will not be used for now.

Pick-up of reserved items starts in five libraries on 11 May 2020
Tampere City Library units will open on 1 June. However, customers can pick up their reservations from the Main Library Metso as well as Sampola, Hervanta, Lielahti and Koilliskeskus libraries already starting from Monday 11 May.
