Do you have a booster shot appointment at the Ratina vaccination unit on 11 October 2021 or later? Your vaccination appointment will be moved to an earlier date

The Ratina vaccination unit in Tampere will close on 10 October 2021. Because of this, all booster shot appointments booked at the Ratina unit for 11 October or later will be moved to an earlier date. By doing this, we are also seeking to speed up the vaccination roll-out so that society can start to open up again.

Covid-19 vaccinations.

The change applies to those who received the first vaccination on 19.7. - 25.8.2021 at the vaccination unit in Ratina or Messukeskus and who have not changed the booster vaccination time.

The bringing forward of appointments will be staggered:

– If you got your first shot at the Ratina vaccination unit or the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on 19–23 July 2021, your new booster shot appointment will take place in the week starting on 20 September at the Ratina vaccination unit.

– If you got your first shot at the Ratina vaccination unit or the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on 26 July – 13 August 2021, your new booster shot appointment will take place in the week starting on 27 September at the Ratina vaccination unit.

– If you got your first shot at the Ratina vaccination unit on 16–25 August 2021, your new booster shot appointment will take place in the week starting on 4 October at the Ratina vaccination unit.

The time and day of the week for the booster shot appointment will remain the same. For example, if you had your first shot on 20 July 2021 at 10 a.m., your new booster shot appointment will take place on the Tuesday of the week starting on 20 September – i.e. Tuesday, 21 September 2021 – at 10 a.m.

If the new booster shot appointment is not suitable, you can reschedule the appointment at tampere.fi/covid19vaccinations or by phone on 03 5657 0023 (open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.). You can also go to the Ratina vaccination unit for a booster shot without an appointment Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. once at least six weeks have passed since you got your first shot. From 11 October 2021, COVID-19 vaccines will be given at health centres.

An SMS about the moving of the booster shot appointment will be sent to the customers who have provided their phone number and given us permission to send them SMS messages.

Vaccines will be given at the Ratina vaccination unit until 10 October 2021, and after that at health centres

The Ratina vaccination unit will be open for four more weeks. The goal is to give more than 40,000 doses of the vaccine in that time. Vaccines are given with an appointment Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and without an appointment Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In October, the Ratina vaccination unit will make a final sprint to the finishing line: in the first two weeks of October, vaccines will be given every day, including on Saturdays and Sundays on 2–3 October and 9–10 October 2021. The Ratina vaccination unit, which has been operating since the spring, will close on 10 October 2021. However, COVID-19 vaccination will continue after that at the city’s health centres.
