The 1st coronavirus vaccine can now also be obtained without an appointment at the vaccination unit at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre
In Tampere, you can now get your first coronavirus vaccine without an appointment. A so-called walk-in vaccination line has been opened at the vaccination unit at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre (Pirkkahalli) at Ilmailunkatu 20. From Tuesday 13 July onwards to 30 July the vaccines will be available from 11 am to 4 pm without an appointment.
The coronavirus vaccine is available to all Tampere residents over the age of 16 and those belonging to risk groups over the age of 12. An identity card, driving license, passport or Kela card are required. EU citizens can use the blue European Health Insurance Card.
Appointments are still recommended in the first place. The number of people to be vaccinated without an appointment cannot be predicted, so it is possible that you will have to wait for your turn. One line at the vaccination unit gives shots without an appointment. You will be guided to the right line on the site. The availability of vaccines may affect the administration of the shots.
More detailed information and transport connections to the vaccination unit of the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre can be found on our website.
Everyone should check the booster dose location. There will be changes to the opening hours of the vaccination units next week, and also the designated vaccination unit may change in the coming weeks.
You need two vaccinations to be protected. It is very important that you get the booster vaccine in order to receive full protection. The second dose will be administered 12 weeks after the first.
Edit 9.7.2021: Without an appointment, you can get only the first dose. The second dose will be administered 12 weeks after the first, not any sooner.
