The search for Technical Creativity Award candidates has started

Published 12.10.2020 9.25

Every year, the City of Tampere presents a Technical Creativity Award. The candidate search for the recipient of the year 2020 award has started and will end on 8 November 2020. The city is looking for a candidate who has applied technical competence in practice in an innovative way.

Technical creativity refers to an original and innovative solution for practical application of technical solutions. The solution that receives the award should have commercial potential or it may already have yielded commercial results. The purpose of the award is not to support scientific work.

You can propose a person or working group from Tampere (not a company) as a candidate. You can also put yourself forward as a candidate. The Technical Creativity Award Committee will select the winner. In its evaluation, the committee will take into account the commercial success of the proposed innovation and/or the future commercial potential it involves.

The award is EUR 5,000 and the award ceremony takes place in January 2021 in connection with Tampere Smart City Week.

Proposals for award candidates can be submitted using this online form. The innovation should be described in as much detail as possible, but using popular terms so that its purpose of use can be understood. With the application form, you should enclose illustrative material, such as attachments, videos, photographs, brochures and links.

The application form can be completed in Finnish or in English.
