Financial and Debt Counselling will move to legal aid offices at the beginning of next year
At the beginning of 2019, the Financial and Debt Counselling Unit will move from the municipality to legal aid offices. The contact information for all financial and debt advisors will change at the beginning of the year.
Beginning 1 January 2019, the legal aid office closest to Tampere residents is the Pirkanmaa legal aid office at Häkiläpolku 1. The Tampere City Financial and Debt Counselling Unit employees will also be transferred there.

Customers are free to choose which legal aid office they would like to contact in the future. You can find the contact information for the other legal aid offices on the Oikeus.fi website on the “legal aid" page, which will later be updated to include the phone numbers for the Economic and Legal Counselling Unit.
If you are a customer with the Financial and Legal Counselling Unit and the processing of your matter ends before 2019, your customer information will not be transferred to the legal aid office. It is particularly important to keep any documents concerning debt arrangements.
The Economic and Legal Counselling services will otherwise stay the same and remain free.
Due to arrangements related to the move, the Financial and Debt Counselling Unit cannot accept new customers between 1 December 2018 and 15 January 2019. However, you may give your contact information and you will be contacted about making an appointment as soon as possible.
In December, the Financial and Debt Counselling chatroom and advice line 03 5656 6972 will have extended opening hours, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The telephone number for the advice line will change at the beginning of 2019. The new telephone number is 029 5660 715 and it is open from Monday to Friday at 8.00 a.m. – 4.15 p.m.
The Tampere City Financial and Debt Counselling Unit will continue to serve private persons living in the Tampere region (Tampere, Kangasala, Lempäälä, Nokia, Pirkkala, Vesilahti, Ylöjärvi) until the end of 2018.
