Tesoma library is moving and will be closed from 17 February
The library will open its doors again on 9 April 2018 at the new wellbeing centre. Due to the closure, the return dates for items borrowed from Tesoma Library on 15 January or later will be postponed to the beginning of May.
The last opening day for the current Tesoma Library is Saturday, 17 February. The library will open at new premises at the Tesoma wellbeing centre on 9 April. Due to the upcoming closure, longer loan periods will be applied to items borrowed on Monday 15 January or later. The return dates for loans from Tesoma Library between the period 15 January to 17 February 2018 will be postponed to the beginning of May.
During the closure, borrowed items can be returned to other PIKI libraries without charge. The return chute at Tesoma Library will not be available. During the closure, all reserved items should be picked up from the Main Library Metso. Customers can, if they wish, change the pick-up location themselves via the online library or by contacting the City of Tampere library from which they wish to pick up the item.
The Tesoma wellbeing centre will open in April at the Tesoma business centre that is currently under construction. The centre will be located in the centre of Tesoma. As well as Tesoma Library, the following services, among others, will be provided under the same roof at the Tesoma wellbeing centre: dental care, wellbeing clinic for families with children, youth centre and health centre.
The wellbeing centre will also serve as a meeting point for local residents. In addition to the library, a community café and different spaces for events will be located on the street level of the centre. These spaces can be rented, for instance, for association or hobby club meetings.
After moving to the new premises, Tesoma Library’s opening hours will be extended. In future, Tesoma Library will share the same opening hours as Lielahti Library.
