The Moomin Museum Great opening party on June 18th and 19th

Renovations for Tampere Hall are complete and the world’s only Moomin Museum opens. Welcome to the get-together 17.-18.6. Tampere Hall and Sorsapuisto are filled with festivities the entire weekend. All festivities at the event are free, admission fee to the Moomin Museum is 12 € for adults, 6 € for children aged 3-17. Moomin Museum is open until midnight on Saturday.

Activities for all ages are available throughout the weekend both at Tampere Hall and Sorsapuisto. Joining in on the celebration Saturday are organizations such as Café Puusti, Free newspaper Tamperelainen, Fest Afrika, Kung Fu Thíêu Lâm – school, the Finnish Institute for Children’s Literature, the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare Tampere, Pirkanmaa Music Institute, SirkusRakkausPumPum and many more. Take part in a Moomin-themed drawing contest, hop around on a hobby horse, carve your own bark boat, hold your own pancake banquet, or dive into the Moomin kitchen’s atmosphere. There is something for everyone!

Joining in on the celebration Sunday are Café Puusti, Fest Afrika, Kung Fu Thíêu Lâm – school, and Pirkanmaan Kielipolku. A marketplace for Moomin kitchenware and a toy flea market will be organized at Sorsapuisto on Sunday at 11 – 15 o’clock as a part of the weekend festivities. Come make discoveries, meet with other collectors of Moomin-themed kitchenware and other products, or make sure your loved toys find a new home.
