The blue buses of Tampere will switch to their summer schedules on Monday 4 June. The summer timetable will not be distributed to households. Instead, it can be picked up at all libraries in Tampere, the Frenckell public transport customer service point, the bus station and larger supermarkets (Sokos, Stockmann, the Lielahti, Linnainmaa, Kaleva and Koivistonkylä Prismas and Citymarket Turtola).
Changes in the summer
The detour on line 3 will continue during the renovation work on the Ratina bridge. The line will run from Lahdesjärvi along Hatanpään valtatie to Hämeenkatu and the Central Market Square. On the detour, the line will not run via Tampereen valtatie, Hämeenpuisto, Nalkala or Eteläpuisto.
Line 4 will run from the Railway Station to Särkänniemi. Line 11 will run along the Pere – Central Market Square – Pere route, without the Kalkku portion. Line 24 will not run via Insinöörinkatu in Hervanta. Additional buses have been added to line 30 from Monday to Saturday. Instead of running to Pohtola, line Y16 will run on the Central Market Square – Lentävänniemi – Ryydynpohja – Central Market Square route.
The route for line 5 will continue from Vuores via Lahdesjärvi to the Central Market Square. Travelling toward the city centre, the line will run via Rautatienkatu. In early summer, the line will run at 30 minute intervals.
During the Housing Fair (13 June to 12 August), line 5 will run from Monday to Sunday at 15 minute intervals.
Buses also in service in the evening on Midsummer’s Eve
Unlike in previous years, buses will now also run in the evening on Midsummer’s Eve. Prior to this year, transport has ended on Midsummer’s Eve at 2 p.m., but now the night lines will run until around 11 p.m.
