Summer in the city brings about an abundance of leisure time activities but also some changes in public services

The hustle and bustle of the city slows down to a calmer pace come summertime, which also brings about some changes in the opening hours of the city’s offices and services during summer months. Needless to say, the city also offers a variety of summertime events and activities for everyone to enjoy.

The museums of Tampere offer a wide range of exhibitions for the whole family and the green oasis of Viikinsaari is a wonderful destination for a picnic. Enjoy the taste of summer and head to one of Tampere’s lively market places for fresh strawberries, peas and other treats.

Summer is the season of events so some tips and suggestions for activities are included in the list below. Furthermore, please remember to enjoy your summer safely and pay attention to the safety information below.

Enjoy your summer!
