Tampere psychiatric clinics

The psychiatric clinics are responsible for psychiatric specialist care provided in Tampere.

In order to obtain an appointment at the psychiatric clinic, you need a doctor’s referral from your health centre, occupational health care or from a private practitioner.
On the basis of the referral, the psychiatric clinics then invites - by telephone or by post - the client to attend an appointment at the psychiatric clinic.

The psychiatric clinic carries out psychiatric tests, assesses the patients’ current medication and resolves any of the patients’ social security issues. It also gives individual, couple, family and group therapy.

At the beginning of the care process, a care plan is drawn up together with the patient, the staff giving the care and those closest to the patient.

The care provided by psychiatric clinics is free of charge except for medical certificates and medical statements.
