Immigrant Advice Centre will close its doors on 6 May for two months due
to plumbing renovation work. Unfortunately, while the centre is closed
it will not be able to dispense advice via email or by phone. We´ll be
open again from 8 July.
Finnish language study guidance and initial
assessments will be still provided during 6.5. - 8.7. at Satamakatu 17 B,
6th floor. Appointments may be made for the initial assessments and
study guidance by phone at 040 801 6642 or via email at
kristiina.teiss(at)tampere.fi.
Multi-lingual information and guidance services of the City of Tampere take place at Tuomiokirkonkatu 12, opposite of the Tampere Cathedral. Customers are served in 19 different languages by 10 advisors, all of whom speak also Finnish.
The services are available for all immigrants who wish to seek information and advice in their own language in different topics of everyday life. At the Advice Centre, the customer can ask anything about living, working and studying in Tampere.
The advisors can help in untangling Finnish documents or correspondence, filling in different forms and applications, or making appointments by phone for example for a doctor. Any question or topic is welcome!
Upon request, the advisor may join customers for separate visits to run necessary errands in town. These appointments are agreed on with the advisor.
Customers do not need to inform their visits in advance, feel free to visit us any time. Groups and other visitations to the Advice Center with an advance notice!
All advisors speak also Finnish.
