Tampere
Tampere is easily accessible. It is located in Southern Finland, 175 km north of Helsinki. There are flight connections to Finland and Tampere from all parts of the world. Tampere has an international airport, served by Blue1/SAS (Star Alliance), Finnair (One World Alliance) and Ryanair.
Finland is also easily reached by sea from Sweden, Germany, Poland and Russia. There are good bus connections to Tampere directly from the ferry terminals. Or why not travel by car from eastern Europe through Via Baltica?
By Air
Finland is easily accessible from all parts of the world. Tampere and Helsinki airports are served by main international, national and low-fare airlines. Daily services are provided to Tampere Airport from Stockholm, London, Liverpool, Dublin, Frankfurt, Riga and Helsinki. Airports are accessible by public transportation at any time of the day. It is possible to book your flight all the way to Tampere or to take an Express Bus from Helsinki airport to Tampere. These buses leave every hour. Tampere-Pirkkala airport is situated 15 km from Tampere city centre. The easiest way to Tampere city centre is to take an Airport taxi, which will take travellers direct to hotels.
By Sea
Finland is also easily reached by sea from Sweden, Estonia and Germany. Most ferry services are provided on luxurious liners of Silja Line and Viking Line with first-class restaurants. There are good bus connections to Tampere direct from the ferry terminals in Helsinki and Turku.
By Bus, Train and Car
Finland is easily accessible by car from Eastern Europe through Via Baltica. Tampere is served by superb rail and road connections from Helsinki. Trains leave once an hour from Helsinki to Tampere; the trip takes one hour and a half. Frequent bus connections to Tampere are available from the city centre and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Tampere is also within easy reach of Moscow and St. Petersburg by train.

Participants should make their hotel reservations in advance on the Congress registration form. TAVI Congress Bureau will take care of the hotel reservation for the participants. You can also make your own accommodation arrangements. To guarantee your hotel reservation a deposit of one night’s room rate has to be paid in advance together with the registration fee. The deposit will be forwarded to the hotel and it will be deducted from your final hotel bill when checking out. If you need to cancel your reservation, please refer to the cancellation and refund policy. All prices are per a standard room per night, including breakfast and VAT.
