Museums comprise the collective memory. Museums preserve, study, sorte and display material on people and their environments. The collections are the cornerstones of museum activities. Vapriikki houses the collections of several museums. Our collections comprise a total of 367,000 objects.
At Vapriikki the collections unit is responsible for all collections and their accumulation, research, care and conservation, and production of exhibitions. In research, we cooperate with universities, educational institutions, companies and other experts.
