Transport and streets

A key characteristic of a well-functioning city is that arriving in and travelling within the urban area is easy. Tampere is ideally located in terms of traffic connections. You can reach the city easily either by car, bus, train or aeroplane.

In internal traffic, investments have been made to facilitate public transport, private car traffic and pedestrian and bicycle traffic alike. Traffic planning aims to take both local people and visitors into consideration.
