The City of Tampere will hold an Evening for Immigrants on Tuesday 29
May 2012 at the City Council Room (Valtuustosali) of the Central Office
Building (Keskusvirastotalo). The event starts with coffee and tea at
5.30 p.m. and the discussion begins at 6.00 p.m. The address of the
Central Office Building is Aleksis Kiven katu 14 C.
This Evening for Immigrants will be the first of its kind. The event is open for all, and we especially hope that immigrants will attend. This is a chance for immigrants to ask about the services provided for them and to discuss their problems and hopes with the decision-makers of the City.
The Chairperson of the event will be Irene Roivainen, the Chairperson of the City Board. Timo P. Nieminen, The Mayor of the City, will be present to answer questions alongside with the Deputy Mayors Leena Kostiainen, Olli-Poika Parviainen, Timo Hanhilahti and Irja Tulonen. Also present at the event will be Marja Nyrhinen, Project Manager of Immigrant Work, and Harri Nojonen as a representative of the Police.
The event is free of charge. Welcome!
