In the summer, the Hatanpää, Pyynikki, and Tammelakeskus health centres
will remain open, while the other health centres run by the city are
closed from 28 June to 8 August.
During this summer break, only patients requiring urgent care will be treated at those health centres that remain open. Because prescriptions are not being renewed and check-ups concerning chronic illnesses are not being carried out during this time, make sure you make an appointment well before mid-summer if you need these services.
The GP system is not active in the summer, which means that patients requiring urgent care are directed to the health centre that can serve them first.
The telephone health line providing advice on health services and appointments with a GP functions normally during the summer – i.e., every day, 7am – 10pm. Between 10pm and 7am, you will hear a recorded message giving telephone numbers that should be called in urgent cases. The telephone health line number is 10023 or, when called from a mobile phone, (03) 5657 0023.
