A few second-formers are still waiting for a place.
Pre-primary education will also begin as school starts. A total of around 1,630 children born in 2004 will participate in municipal pre-primary education in Tampere.
Approximately 1,000 pupils, 33% of whom are from outside Tampere, will begin their studies in daytime upper secondary schools maintained by the City of Tampere. In total, around 3,200 pupils, 25% of whom are from outside Tampere, study in daytime upper secondary schools maintained by the City of Tampere. Around 1,600 pupils study in other education providers’ upper secondary schools in Tampere.
