Four health centres open all summer long in Tampere

In the summer, the health centre services of the City of Tampere will be centralised to the Hatanpää, Hervanta, Tammelakeskus and Tesoma health centres. The other health centres in the city will be closed from 25 June to 5 August 2012.

The health centres which are open will treat only the patients requiring acute care. Therefore prescriptions for medications, including electronic prescriptions, should be renewed and appointments for e.g. check-ups for long-term illnesses should be scheduled well in advance before the centres close for the summer.

The dedicated doctor system is not in use during the summer. Instead, patients requiring acute care will be directed to the health centre that offers the earliest available appointment. In case of illness, you should contact the health services information and advice line at 03 10023. They will provide treatment instructions and direct you to the right treatment facility if necessary.

You can visit the nurse services without an appointment at the health centres which are open from 25 June to 5 August 2012. The nurse will evaluate your need for treatment and attend to minor illnesses and injuries. Nurses can also write notes for short sick leaves. Visits to the nurse services are free of charge.

The Pihlajalinna outsourced health clinic will operate normally throughout the summer, but the Attendo Hervanta outsourced health clinic will be closed from 25 June to 5 August 2012.
