Swimming instruction for school pupils

Swimming instruction for pupils in grades 1-6 is organised in Tesoma and Hervanta indoor swimming pools and Tampere swimming centre in cooperation with the schools.

Swimming instruction is an integral part of the schools’ physical education: the children are acquainted with water, and all pupils are instructed in the basics of swimming. During the instruction the pupils are informed about the dangers connected with water and they are taught the basic skills for cases of emergency.
