Pyynikki swimming pool was one of the first swimming pools built in Finland. It was opened in 1956 and the changing rooms for men were renovated in 1992. A more extensive renovation is planned to take place at the end of the decade.
There is a 25 metre-long pool with six lanes and a teaching pool. The changing rooms have lockers for 98 women and 100 men. There are also saunas which can be hired privately and a sauna beside a room with a fireplace room.
