Tickets loaded onto the Travel Card

Kuva: Matkakortti

You can choose the ticket type that best meets your needs from among several alternatives. Tickets are personal (used only by the card owner) or they can be used by the bearer (anyone belonging to the same age category or lower).

Various ticket types can be combined into a Travel Card: in addition to a Season Ticket you can buy a Stored Value Ticket for paying late-night extra fees or other passengers’ fares. All tickets include the right to transfer free of charge within one hour.

A Travel Card is purchased at the Public Transport Service Point. A deposit of 6.70 euros is charged for the card, which can be reloaded many times.

The cardholder’s name, gender, year and month of birth, and domicile are recorded in the card at the Service Point. Thereafter, you can load various ticket types into your card at the Service Point or other card loading points located in Tampere. The card loading points show the blue-green joint local transport symbol. You cannot reload your card on a bus; cash can be used to pay only for single fares and late-night extra fees.

You can print and fill the application for the Travel Card beforehand.
