Households can buy their electricity from any electricity supplier in Finland.

Waste management and recycling

Tampere Regional Solid Waste (Pirkanmaan jätehuolto) is responsible for handling waste in the Tampere area. The municipal solid waste management regulations require the waste to be sorted at source.

Water supply

Television fee

You must pay a television fee for using the television no matter which programmes or channels you watch or how frequently you watch them.

You can give notification of the use of a television by telephone (09) 613 161, via the Internet or by filling in a notification form available at the post office.

Change of address

When you move, you need to notify the Post Office and the Register Office of your new address. In order to have your mail delivered to your new address from the requested date, you should submit a change of address notification one week before you move house.
