Accommodation for students and young people

In 2010, there were 7,500 rented flats available for students in Tampere. 286 new flats were built for students in 2009 and in 2010 48 more were added to the number. The student housing associations mentioned below make some 5,100 new tenancy agreements each year.

How to apply for accommodation

You have to submit a separate application to each association. All of these associations use electronic application forms. You can also find additional information on the application procedure, available flat types on offer, and locations of the flats on their websites.

Rental apartments for students

Tampere Student Housing Foundation (TOAS)
Student housing in the city of Tampere is administrated by the Tampere Student Housing Foundation (TOAS), which maintains and rents out student accommodation. TOAS housing is only available for students studying above secondary school level in and around the Tampere area.
