City-owned plots

The recipients of the plots of land reserved for detached houses by the City of Tampere are decided by draw. The draw usually takes place twice a year: in spring and autumn.

The right to participate in the draw is determined on the basis of three factors which include the applicants’ length of residence in Tampere, years of birth of the family’s children and the combined annual earnings of the spouses.

Applicants are entitled to participate in the draw if the combined number of points received by them is at least 63. You can use the point counter to find out your personal score. You can also apply for a plot by filling in an electronic form.
