Imaging services (x-rays)

The imaging services comprise x-ray, ultrasound, contrast medium, mammography and magnetic resonance imaging.

A health centre physician’s referral is required to all these investigations except for mammography screening, to which personal appointment letters are sent.

Except for emergency examinations, an appointment is required to all these examinations. The appointment is usually booked when consulting a doctor.

All women between 50 - 68 years get personal invitation for mammographic examination every other year.

The breast clinic conducts x-ray and ultrasound examinations on mammary glands and takes needle biopsies.
