Summer breaks of social and health servicesMaternity and child welfare clinics
Telephone health service gives guidance and instructions in case of acute illnesses every day 7 - 22 also in summertime. When a person living in Tampere falls ill, he/she should call health care counselling at 03 10023. Health care counselling nurses provide treatment instructions, guide the patient to the correct health care facility, when necessary, and make doctor's appointments. Health centres
Between 25 June and 5 August, the health centre services provided by the City of Tampere will be centralised to four health centres:
The health centres are open Mon - Thu, 8 am - 3.30 pm and on Fridays and on days before public holidays 8 am - 3 pm. Appointments to health centres can be made at health care counselling, tel. 03 10023. It is open daily 7 am - 10 pm. The health centres that are open in the summer only treat patients in need of urgent care. The dedicated doctor system is not in use and patients are referred to the health centre offering the earliest available appointment. Nurses receive patients without appointment from 25 June to 5 August. The Pihlajalinna outsourced health clinic will operate normally throughout the summer, but the Attendo Hervanta outsourced health clinic will be closed from 25 June to 5 August 2012. » Health centresTop of page Mental health services
Psychiatric clinics are closed as follows:
The Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic is closed from 9 to 29 July. The Psychiatric Clinic for Immigrants doesn't serve from 16 July to 10 August. Day hospitals are closed from 2 July to 5 August. The Acute Psychiatric Clinic and the special working group for psychiatric care at home operate throughout the summer. Between 2 July and 3 August, dentist and dental hygienist services will be centralised to three dental clinics: Tammela Dental Clinic In addition, some of the smaller dental clinics are open. • The dental clinics that are open in the summer only treat patients in need of urgent dental care. • Appointments to all dental clinics can be made at (03) 5657 0100 Mon–Fri, 8 am–5 pm. • Those in need of urgent first aid may call ER Acuta for an appointment Mon–Fri, 8 am–1 pm, tel. The call-in time for maternity and child welfare clinics is from noon to 1 pm. Haukiluoma Clinic is closed from 23 July to 5 August. Customers should contact to the Tesoma Clinic (Virontörmänkatu 9, tel. 0400 362 930, 0400 362 905, 0400 368 015). Lentävänniemi Clinic is closed from 25 June to 27 July. Kämmenniemi Clinic is mainly closed from 6 to 19 August. Customers should contact to the Olkahinen, tel 040 806 3118, the call-in time is 11–11.30 am. Olkahinen Clinic is mainly closed from 25 June to 1 July and from 16 to 29 July. The nurse of the Kämmenniemi Clinic will answer the calls and take care of customers (tel. 03 565 74715, the call-in time is 10.30–11.30 am.)
