Psychiatric Polyclinic for Immigrants arranges mental care services particularly for refugees (over 18 years old) having recently arrived in Finland. The polyclinic assesses these people’s needs for mental care.
In addition, it assesses the severely traumatised (torture and war traumas) refugee patients’ needs for mental care.

In order to be entitled to the services of the Psychiatric Polyclinic for Immigrants, the patient needs a referral of a doctor, public health nurse or social worker.

Apart from clinical work, the polyclinic also organises work counselling and training for those professionals, students and interpreters of the social and health care sector working with refugees. The polyclinic comprises a specialist in psychiatry, a social worker and a physiotherapist.
