Health check-ups for adults

All the Tampere residents aged 40 or 50 years are provided with a health check-up.

The letters giving the check-up appointment are sent, in alphabetical order, to the whole age group during the year in which the person concerned turns 40 or 50 years.
The health check-ups are free of charge.

The health check-up is conducted by a public health nurse. In the check-up the risks of contracting cardiovascular disease, adult type diabetes, breast cancer, cervical cancer as well as musculoskeletal diseases are examined.

Each year it is decided which age groups are selected for a check-up. They receive by post the letters giving the check-up appointment.
