Municipal dental treatment is chargeable for all residents except for those under 18 years of age.

A visit to a oral hygienist costs 7,50 euros - charged for each visit
A visit to a dentist costs 9,60 euros - charged for each visit
A visit to a dental specialist costs 14 euros
Check-up 6,20 - 27,50 euros
X-ray examination 6,20 – 13,80 euros
Regional anaesthesia 6,20 euros
Preventive care 6,20 euros - preventive care is available also, including health counselling, teaching of home dental care, any necessary fluoride treatment or similar treatments, and removal of plaque or plaque build-up
Removal of dental calculus 6,20 - 40,20 euros - client fees according to the type of procedure
Teeth filling 13,80 - 56,40 euros - client fees according to the type of procedure
Root treatment 13,80 - 40,20 euros for each visit
Oral surgery - tooth removal 13,80 euros - tooth removal, demanding operation 27,50 euros - tooth removal, surgery 40,20 - 56,40 euros - emergency procedure, control check-up, the removal of sutures 6,20 euros
A certificate given by a dentist at most 33,90 euros
A missed appointment that has not been cancelled 33,90 euros, charged from those who are 15 years of age or older. The fee can be charged for appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. The fee is not charged if the patient had an acceptable reason for not cancelling the appointment.
After the treatment, an invoice is posted to the client’s home. Municipal dental treatment does not entitle the patient to reimbursement from the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Kela).
