Services for people using sign language

The Social Welfare Office for the Disabled in Tampere provides social welfare services to persons using sign language.

The social welfare worker carries out comprehensive work covering living allowance, services for the disabled, intoxicant abuse issues as well as child protection.
In addition, other tasks may include guidance and counselling in various areas of life.

Benefits intended for persons using sign language, in application of the law relating to services for the disabled, are comprised of support services, various facilities, assisted housing and adaptation training.
